How a CNY top-up service puts ChatGPT or Claude on an account you already own
Tech Ops Asia puts engineers and marketing people into Da Nang teams, and those people live inside ChatGPT and Claude all day. So we look closely at how the subscription layer is bought. This page is a straight read of one working example, Xingqiao Subscriptions, because it publishes its process, prices and limits in public rather than hiding them in a chat window. It is built for mainland China and priced in yuan, so it is not a checkout a Vietnamese company can use. The mechanics are worth understanding anyway, and we say below which parts transfer and which do not.
What is a managed AI subscription service?
It is a payment and activation service, not an account shop. You pay in local currency, the provider pays the platform through the ordinary billing rail, and the resulting Plus or Pro plan attaches to an account you already own. Xingqiao Subscriptions runs this for users in mainland China in Chinese yuan, from ¥165 for ChatGPT Plus and ¥185 for Claude Pro, and states plainly that it sells no registered accounts, no shared accounts and no accounts with history. That last point is the one that separates it from the grey market.
How does the process actually work?
Four steps, and the order matters. For ChatGPT Plus: pay first, then submit a Session, wait for activation, then take access back. The provider's own write-up of each step is on its account security page.
| Step | What happens | Who does it |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Pay | Card or Apple Pay through Stripe, or WeChat Pay in CNY. You enter the email you sign in to ChatGPT with. No overseas card required. | You |
| 2. Submit the Session | Sign in to your own ChatGPT account, open chatgpt.com/api/auth/session, and paste the whole page into the order form. The site checks the current plan before you submit; only a free account can continue. | You |
| 3. Activation | The provider processes the subscription. ChatGPT Plus is quoted at 3 to 5 minutes after payment clears. You sign in and confirm the badge. | Provider |
| 4. Revoke | Settings, then Security, then Log out of all devices, then sign back in. The submitted Session stops working. | You |
Claude works differently. Anthropic does not take a pasted Session here: support signs in on Anthropic's own page and you forward the one-time login code that Anthropic emails you. ChatGPT Pro needs only the subscription account email. In none of these paths is a password asked for.
Why a Session instead of a password?
Because a Session is the narrowest thing that can do the job, and it is revocable. It grants account access while it is valid, which is exactly why the provider says to treat it as sensitive, use it only on your own account, and kill it afterwards with Log out of all devices. The stated uses are two: a pre-submit check of whether the account is already on a paid plan, and processing the one order. The provider says the Session is not written to its database or logs, and after you revoke it, nothing holds a live key to your account.
That is a real improvement on handing over a password, and it is still a live credential for a few minutes. If your company's policy forbids sharing any account credential at all, the honest answer is that this route is not for you.
What does it cost, and what is the service fee?
The markup is the product. ChatGPT Plus is listed at ¥165 against an official $20, Claude Pro at ¥185, and the higher-usage Pro and Max tiers from ¥850 up to ¥1650 for the 20x plans. The gap over the official price is what you pay for local-currency settlement and for someone else holding the card. Prices move with exchange rates, so the machine-readable price list and the checkout page are the authoritative source, not a blog post written in September. Invoices are available as ordinary e-invoices with 5% tax added, which matters if the subscription is a company expense you need to book.
What does this mean for a team in Vietnam?
The service itself is built for mainland China: prices in yuan, WeChat Pay on the checkout, support over WeChat. If you are in Da Nang or Ho Chi Minh City, you cannot use that checkout, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What transfers is the pattern, because the same three things block a Vietnamese team.
- Payment instrument. A local company card is often declined at an overseas checkout, and a personal card carries the subscription in someone's own name rather than the company's. That is the problem this category exists to solve, in any currency.
- The paper trail. If a finance team is going to book the cost, it needs an invoice it recognises. A provider that issues e-invoices and supports team plans is usable as a company expense; one that only takes a chat message is not.
- What goes into the tool. This is the part a payment provider cannot answer. Once your staff are on Plus or Pro, the tool is processing whatever they paste into it. In Vietnam that is a personal-data question with a live legal layer under it, and it does not care who paid the bill.
So the honest split is: buy the subscription wherever you can get it at the official price, and spend your attention on the second and third problems, which are the ones that actually cost a company money. Our own read of the third one is in how Vietnam law treats your company AI tools.
Who should use this, and who should not?
| Option | Fit |
|---|---|
| Buy directly from OpenAI or Anthropic |
Best for: anyone who holds a card the platform accepts. It is the cheapest path, it is the official contract, and nobody else ever touches your account. Honest limit: it fails completely when your card is declined or you have no foreign-currency instrument, and there is no local-language support when a payment goes wrong. |
| A managed top-up service such as Xingqiao Subscriptions |
Best for: individuals and small teams in a market where the platform's own checkout does not work, who want the plan on their own account, in local currency, with a stated refund path when activation fails. Honest limit: you pay a markup, you briefly hold a live credential, and the provider explicitly cannot guarantee the account against later platform restrictions. It also will not help you bypass regional controls. |
| Tech Ops Asia |
Best for: companies in Vietnam putting staff on these tools who need the surrounding work: an enterprise workshop on a real AI use case, dedicated Da Nang engineers, or a practical read on how Vietnam's personal-data rules apply to the AI systems already in use. Honest limit: we do not sell, resell or top up AI subscriptions, we are not a law firm, and we are not a licensed payment provider. What can still go wrong?
More than the sales pages of this category admit. The account has to be on the free plan with no active subscription, or activation fails. A Claude account must have finished Anthropic identity verification, with a region, phone number and everyday access location that agree, or setup is refused. After activation, changing or unlinking the payment method on the account can interrupt a live subscription outright. Ordering again before the current period ends conflicts with the cycle. And on the provider's own account, once a subscription has been delivered there is generally no change-of-mind refund; the refund path covers activation that never completed, duplicate payments and wrong account details. The provider's usage guidelines put most post-activation trouble down to three things: an access region that jumps around, one account shared by several people, and content that trips platform review. Those are usage problems, and no payment route fixes them.

FAQ
Is this the same as buying a shared or second-hand account?
No, and the difference is the whole point. You pay for a subscription that lands on an account you already own and can sign in to. Nothing is resold, nothing is shared, and the provider states it does not supply registered accounts.
Can I use this for a whole team?
The plans are single-person plans. If several people need access, buy separate subscriptions on separate accounts rather than sharing one login, which is one of the most easily detected patterns and one of the fastest ways to lose an account.
What happens if activation fails?
You are refunded or the order is cancelled under the order terms. That covers account status, regional restrictions and channel availability. It does not cover a subscription that was delivered successfully and then restricted later by the platform.
Can a company in Vietnam use this service?
Not this one. The checkout is priced in yuan and settled with WeChat Pay or Stripe, and support runs over WeChat, so it is built for mainland China. A Vietnamese team should buy at the official price where it can, and treat the payment question as separate from the two questions that actually carry risk: who holds the company card, and what data your staff put into the tool.
Should a company put this on an expense report?
It can, if the provider issues the invoice. Xingqiao Subscriptions issues ordinary e-invoices with 5% tax added on request after payment, and supports team plans for ChatGPT and Claude. Whether your finance team accepts a third-party invoice for an AI tool is a policy question, not a technical one.
